Miloslav König

Miloslav König is a successful theatre and film actor, a recipient of Thalia Award in 2024 for his role of the French author Michel Houllebecq in the drama Public Enemies. Yet, as an accomplished singer, multiinstrumentalist and song writer, he is as much at home in music as he is in acting. While music has been part of his life since childhood, he dates the start of his music career to 2010. Since then, he has released four albums. The two latest ones – Srdcem ženou (Wonam at Heart, 2018) and his current release, Hedvábí (Silk, 2024) – are both available through official distribution networks. In these, he has defined his specific style, which he describes as “contemplative folk”. His latest album is an authentic personal confession based on fragments of diary entries, dreams and experiences. The instrumental tracks have all been recorded and layered one over the other by König himself. His style of singing and his approach to composition betray König’s acting experience, especially in his remarkable ear for detail in terms of timbre and expression, but also in the natural and accessible performance. Although his busy acting career has only allowed him to perform music sporadically, with this new album he intends to repay this debt to music.
